Everything you need to know before your first game - and a few things you didn't think to ask.

First Things First
The adult party game that starts with a truth, heats up with a dare, and ends with everyone a little more bare than they started. Four levels, hundreds of cards, and it runs entirely in your browser - no download, no app store, no account. Just open it and go.
Adults aged 18 and over. TDB is designed for consenting adult players who know what kind of experience they’re choosing - couples, friends, parties, and private adult gatherings. TDB has been designed specifically for gay, bi, and queer men. It is not suitable for anyone under 18, and every person in the room should be an adult who has chosen to play.
Yes. Truth, Dare, Bare is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. The game contains adult sexual themes, explicit language, stylised illustrated nudity, illustrated sexual positions, and mature gameplay. The game includes an age verification step before play begins. By proceeding, users confirm they are 18 or over. No one under 18 is permitted to access, purchase, unlock, or play the Service.
TDB is designed for 2 to 6 players, including a dedicated two-player mode for couples. Any player can opt out at any point and the game continues, as long as at least 2 are still cheeky enough to keep going.
A full deck takes roughly 45–90 minutes, or longer, depending on your group's pace and how far you really want to go. You can stop whenever - the game doesn't require you to finish the deck. Most groups play until the vibe says so, and then you'll just take things into your own hands.
The Tech Bit
An internet connection is required to load the game. Wi‑Fi or mobile data both work - just open the link and go.
Yes - it works on any device with a modern browser. iPhone, Android, tablet, laptop, desktop. You can also add it to your home screen as a PWA for a more app-like experience.
No account needed to play Level 1. To unlock paid levels you'll go through a simple one-time purchase - no account, no subscription. We deliberately avoid accounts so we can collect less personal information. Your unlock status is stored on your device, and your unlock code is sent to your purchase email so you can re-enter it if needed. Questions about billing, refunds, or access? See our Terms of Use.
TDB is designed for live, in-the-moment play. Some settings may be stored locally in your browser, but an active game session may not always resume exactly where you left off if you close the browser, clear storage, or switch devices.
No. TDB does not track your card history, truth/dare responses, sexual preferences, player names, or gameplay choices. Some settings, such as unlock status, filters, player names, and age-gate confirmation, may be stored locally in your browser so the game can function properly. Read our Privacy Policy for more.
Your unlock code is yours to keep - it's in your purchase confirmation email. Your unlocked status is stored in your browser, so if you clear your browser, change devices, or use a different browser, you may need to re-enter your code.
The Bare Essentials
Yes. Always. TDB is designed for consenting adults, and no card is mandatory. You can answer, complete the dare, modify it, or pass. Some cards may apply a playful points penalty or forfeit, but no game mechanic should ever override a person’s comfort, boundaries, or consent.
Yes. Any player can opt out at any point and the game continues with whoever's still in - no disruption, no restart. No one needs to explain or justify opting out. The game requires at least 2 players to continue, and plays best with 3 or more.
Your game, your rules - literally. Before you start, set your filters and switch off anything that doesn't work for your crew. Filters are there to remove categories before play starts so the group can set boundaries upfront. Alcohol-related dares, foot play, anal play, food dares, props and toys - all optional, all removable. Because the best nights are the ones where everyone's fully in.
It escalates deliberately across four levels. Curious is cheeky and revealing but not explicit. Daring introduces flirtier dares and may include more revealing prompts. Heated and Bare are explicitly adult and may include sexual prompts, stylised illustrated nudity, and illustrated sexual positions. Higher levels are intended only for adults who have knowingly opted into that content.
Yes, in the paid levels. Some higher-level cards include stylised illustrated nudity and illustrated sexual positions. The artwork is fictional and illustrative, not photographic, but it is still adult content intended only for users aged 18 and over.
We've thought about this carefully - because a game this good deserves to be played well. Pass on anything, opt out anytime, set your filters, choose your level. TDB is built so that everyone in the room is having exactly the kind of fun they signed up for. Adults only, full consent, always. Every player should be a consenting adult who feels comfortable with the level and content being played. Read more about our approach to consent and responsible play.
Going All In
Level 1 - Curious - is completely free. No time limit, no card limit, no catch. Levels 2, 3, and 4 (Daring, Heated, and Bare) are unlocked together as a one-time purchase.
No. It's a single one-time payment. You pay once to unlock levels 2, 3 and 4. No monthly fees, no renewals, no surprises.
Your unlock code is for personal use only and is not transferable. You can play with friends using your device during your own session, but the code itself should not be shared, resold, posted, or transferred. We hope to continue expanding TDB with future updates, additional cards, and new themed content over time.
No. A payment does not replace the age requirement. TDB is adults-only whether you are playing the free level or unlocking the paid levels. By accessing or purchasing the game, you confirm that you are 18 or over and legally permitted to access adult content in your location.
