The Rules

Open it. Play it. Bare it.

It's simpler than you think. Which means you'll be getting to the good stuff faster than you expected.

Getting Started

How to play.

01
Open the game

Head to truthdarebare.com on any phone, tablet, or laptop. No download, no account, no app store. Just open it in your browser and you're in.

02
Add your players

Enter everyone's name. The game tracks turns automatically, so no one has to remember whose go it is. 2–6 players - best with 3 or more, but it works with just two.

03
Choose your level

Start at Curious. Seriously - even if you think you're ready for more, Level 1 has some surprisingly pulse-racing cards that might just catch you off guard. It's free, it's cheeky, and it gets the night going from the very first draw. Set your filters, choose your level, and let the game do the rest.

04
Play your card

The current player's card appears on screen. Tap or swipe to reveal it. Read it out, answer it honestly, or do the dare. Simple as that - no group vote, no judgment call.

05
Continue or pass

Answered truthfully or completed the dare? Swipe to continue and earn your filth points. Didn't answer or didn't do it? Tap Pass - a consequence follows: a points penalty, a playful forfeit, or both. The game moves to the next player automatically.

06
Opting out

Not feeling the heat anymore? No problem. Any player can opt out at any point - no explanation needed, no awkwardness, no drama. The game carries on with whoever's still in, as long as at least 2 are left. TDB is always on your terms.

Card Types

Know your cards.

★ Truth
Truth

A question you answer honestly. If you answered it, swipe to earn your points. If you didn't, pass - and face the consequence.

Dare
Dare

A physical or social challenge. Do it, then swipe to earn your points. Dares appear from Level 2 upwards.

★ Bonus ★
Bonus

These are wilder than standard cards and worth extra filth points when completed.

◆ All In ◆
All In

When an All In card drops, everyone plays. These are the cards that get the whole room involved - and the ones you'll be talking about the next morning.

★ Pornstar ★
Pornstar

The wildest card in the deck. Each Pornstar card features a line art illustration of a gay sex position - and yes, you and your fellow players need to recreate it. Exactly as shown. Good luck. Available in Levels 3 and 4 only.

Scoring

The Filth system.

Every card is worth a certain number of Filth points - shown on the card as +1 Filth, +2 Filth, and so on. Answer truthfully or complete the dare, then swipe to claim your points.

Passing isn't free. A pass triggers a consequence - a points penalty, a playful forfeit, or both, depending on the card. So think carefully before you skip.

Bonus and All In cards are worth more. The player with the most Filth at the end of the deck wins - or you can play as long as the group wants and call it when the night's done.

There are no losers in Truth, Dare, Bare. Just varying levels of filth.

Got it? Good.
Now let's play.
